About us
It all started in London, 2013
When Darran McKee, founder and managing director, decided that the IT recruitment industry just wasn’t hitting the mark and needed a fresh approach: it was time to do something about it.
Through his own experience, he could see that the industry’s offer was far too generic, consultants were effectively just glorified salesmen, and clients were having to endure a revolving-door policy of unqualified talent. On top of that, they felt that fees were far too high, and that there was a distinct lack of trust in the consultants they were dealing with.
The mission was simple
1) Specialise in a niche. That niche being SAP, Hybris and emerging technologies.
2) Establish a talent pool, putting an end to re-inventing the wheel every time a client needed an IT professional.
3) Focus on countries that could provide the greatest value for money without compromising on quality.
With those three factors being the driving force, Transition Commerce was born and now operates in more than 10 countries with offices in London, Romania and Poland – the last two effectively being the IT capitals of the world.
It’s called nearshoring
This is what’s known as nearshoring. It means that clients across Europe can capitalise on the quality and cost benefits of hiring staff in those particular countries. And, as a result, can grow their businesses more quickly and efficiently, without the usual headaches associated with offshoring – quality being the main benefit.
With Transition Commerce, various guarantees are built into the offer in terms of ‘value-adds’, and both candidates and clients can enjoy a long and fruitful relationship, safe in the knowledge that their interests are put way before profit.
Ours is a consultative approach, geared towards forming long-term, mutually beneficial relationships.
